The steps to close a Groww demat account are as follows.
- Open the Groww app.
- Now open your profile section.
- After you scroll down, you will see a ‘help and support’ option. Click on it.
- Search for “I want to close my demat account”.
- On selecting this option, you will be redirected to a new page from where you can download the account closure form.
- Carefully fill in all the details in the form.
- Now you have to send this duly filled form to the headquarters of Groww.
Once they receive your form and validate the details, it usually takes around 5-7 business days to deactivate your account.
If you don’t want to close your account using the Groww app, you can also send them an e-mail. In the e-mail, you have to send them the reason for closing your demat account.
Once you have sent the e-mail, you will receive a message consisting of a link to download the account closure form.
