Are you using HDFC Securities for trading but can’t figure out how to sell shares in HDFC Securities? Here’s a quick guide for that.

First of all, you can choose what device you wish to use to place a sell order in HDFC Securities. If you prefer the HDFC Securities app, then here are the steps to sell shares:

  1. Login to your HDFC Securities app and search for the share or stock that you are willing to sell.
  2. Once you spot it, then click on it. This will take you to a new window, where you can see the market-specific details of that particular share. At the very bottom, you will find the “SELL” button. Click on it.
  3. Now you will see a form with fields such as “Action”. Here you must select the “Sell” and then select Exchange, Product, Order Type, Quantity, and Price.
  4. If you wish to limit your losses, you can learn how to put stop loss in HDFC securities and do that by clicking on the “Additional Details” tab and you will find the desired options as well. After that just click on “Place Sell Order”.

  1. After logging in, at the header, you will see a search bar. On its left, you can select the segment that you wish to trade in, for example, Equity, Future stock, Future Index, etc. Then search for the desired stock that you wish to sell and click on the result that shows up with your stock’s index name.
  2. This will show you a prompt with all the market details of that particular scrip. After going through the details click on the “SELL” button.
  3. Another prompt appears where you need to fill up details such as Exchange, Product, Order Type, Quantity, Price, etc. Now click on Place Order.
  4. Now your order-specific details will be previewed which you need to verify and then click on “CONFIRM ORDER”. In case you want to make changes to your order click on “Modify”. This will take you a step back.
  5. Once you click on the “CONFIRM ORDER” button, your sell order will get placed.
