By placing a basket order in Zerodha you can easily place 20 trades simultaneously using Kite app. But how to exit the basket order in Zerodha?

Do you have to square off all trades together? What if you want to sell selected shares?

Well to get the answer to all this, dive in!

How to exit basket order in Zerodha Kite?

Once you place basket order in Zerodha, you can square off some of the shares or all the trades by following the process of the reverse basket.

For example, you bought 10 shares of A, 10 shares of B, and 10 shares of C in the basket order but now you only want to square off your position for A shares and B shares.

So, in this case, you need to create a new basket with 10 A shares and 10 B shares and exit the basket order by placing sell orders.

Here are the steps you have to follow to create a reverse basket in Zerodha:

  • Choose the scrips (for example A and B) you would like to make the reverse trade for
  • Add those scrips to the basket.
  • Click on the Sell button.
  • Execute the order

This order will sell your current positions. Here for each position, you need to pay separate brokerage charges in Zerodha. To get a complete understanding of fees check the detail of how much brokerage does Zerodha charges

If you have any more stock-market-related questions in your mind, feel free to drop your details and we will arrange a callback or an answer.
