How to Open Commodity Account in Zerodha Online?

Now you can either open a commodity account and an equity account in Zerodha or activate it later using the the Kite app.

Here to open it along with the equity account just select the commodity segment, submit the additional documents required, and pay the applicable charges.

In case you want to open commodity account in Zerodha later, you need to follow a few simple steps given below:

• You need to log in to the Console using your Zerodha Credentials
• Click on the ‘Activate the Commodity segment’ Under the Manage segment section
• Click continue to proceed further

• Next, you need to submit or upload income proof. There are few simple steps to upload income proof in Zerodha where you first select income range, trading experience, and commodity trade classification and then upload ITR, bank statement, or salary slip. 

*If the file is protected kindly fill in the password under the “File Password Tab”.

• Tick the Declaration
•  You will be redirected to the NDSL website to in the form
• Click on Proceed to eSign then Sign Now
• On the NSDL page. You need to enter your Adhaar number and validate the OTP which will be received on your registered mobile

Your Commodity account will be activated within 48 hours after the verification of the OTP.

How to Open Commodity Account in Zerodha Offline?

You can also request offline for opening a commodity account in Zerodha. To activate commodity trade offline, you need to download the Zerodha commodity account opening form.

Fill in all the required details in the form and send it to the following address along with the self-attested photostat of the income proof documents, as mentioned above.

Commodity Account Opening Charges in Zerodha
